Notes for independent landlords

Practical ways to track rent, reconcile partial payments and keep rent reminders useful, one month at a time.

A few rentals, fewer messages to search

Connecting properties, tenants, amounts due and payments creates a starting point for reconciliation. This suits individual landlords who want to keep a rent ledger on their phone.

Two payments should not become one guessing game

Record each actual payment and its date, then check the remaining amount. Receiving part of the rent does not mean the whole period is settled.

A date in a notebook can still be missed

Use the ledger alongside system reminders, and check notification permissions and calendars. Reminders support follow-up; you still need to verify that money arrived.
